Kyogen is a form of traditional Japanese theater and most of the programs are comedy.

Once upon a time, there lived a master and two followers, Taro and Jiro.
あるところに主人と二人の弟子、太郎冠者と次郎冠者が住んでおりました。
One day, the master was going out and said to the boys,
ある日主人は外出することになり、太郎と次郎に言いました。
" Be careful of this pot because it has poison called Busu in it."
「この桶の中には附寸（ぶす）という猛毒が入っているから注意せよ」
After the master went out, Taro and Jiro became so curious about Busu.
主人が出かけた後、太郎と次郎は附寸が気になって仕方ありません。
They couldn't resist and finally opened the pot.
二人は我慢できなくなって、ついに桶を開けてしまいました。
Surprisingly, there was sugar inside.
なんと、中に入っていたのは、砂糖でした。
They ate all the sugar.
二人は全部食べてしまいました。
After that, they broke a hanging scroll and a bowl that were their master's treasure.
二人はその後、主人が大切にしていた掛け軸とお茶碗を壊します。
When the master came back, they said,
そして帰ってきた主人にこう言ったのです。
" When we were fighting sumo, we broke the hanging scroll and the bowl.
「相撲を取っていたら、かけ軸とお茶碗を壊してしまいました。
We are so sorry that we are going to eat Busu to kill ourselves."
死んで詫びようと思い、附寸を食べるところです」と。
The boys were running away and the master chased them angrily.
主人はカンカンに怒って、逃げる二人を追いかけました。
